That Democenter-Sipe Foundation was moved right onto campus is an expression of the consolidated ties among university, industry and local community and one of the distinctive features of the Center’s mission: to promote exploitation of the results of research activity conducted within university departments and laboratories.

This activity takes place through:

• Company visits to campus: in barely 12 months of activity, over 400 firms were made acquainted with the activities carried out and results achieved by university researchers.
• Events founded on collaboration between businesses and the University: 6 have been organized and were attended by a total of 120 entrepreneurs.
• Educational events: essential for disseminating a culture of innovation, they have involved over 2,000 people.
• Calls for proposals and projects: Democenter-Sipe Fondation supports the creation of partnerships between the University and businesses intending to participate in regional, national and Europeans bidding for grants to support innovation.

Technology District bidding
Democenter-Sipe Foundation has encouraged pools of businesses belonging to our districts to work together on projects with university departments and laboratories on areas of interests: funding has been awarded for ten of these projects, out of a total of 35 approved in Emilia-Romagna.

Motorsport Expo Tech
Democenter-Sipe Foundation is one of the promoters of the first Italian professional motorsport exhibition, which takes place each year in Modena and sees the participation of all major firms in this sector.
